Hi. I’m Holly.

I’m an outdoor educator, photographer, and planet earth enthusiast. I’m currently based out of Durango, a little town in the San Juan Mountains of southwest Colorado, but I tend to find myself roaming around the western United States.

So what’s my passion? It’s the fact that the outdoors has incredible potential to bring out the very best in each of us. This potential is what draws me to outdoor education and guiding, and what draws me to pursuing experiences that bring me awe. I’ve worked with hundreds of participants, guiding multiday river trips on the San Juan River, leading developmental backpacking trips in the rugged San Juan Mountains up to 26 days in length, facilitating collegiate outdoor orientation programs, and more. Outside of “work,” I’ve thru-hiked the 500-mile Colorado Trail, been on road trips all over the western U.S., rock climbed in various areas, and am slowly getting more into backcountry skiing. At the end of the day, I pour my heart into all of this because of a deep passion for the genuine transformation the outdoors has brought me and many of the students I’ve worked with. It’s never been about competition; it’s always been about fostering gratitude, vitality, and community.
